Marvellous panorama views dominate this part of the ride. With some ups and downs, we reach the famous surfspot of Praia do Guincho.

From here on a cycling lane along the ocean leads to the seaside city Cascais, which invites for a final loop and a recovery drink.

Serra de Sintra. A real highlight in the surroundings of Lisbons. Easy to reach within 40min the historic area of Sintra and the breathtaking coast is a class of his own. This is our panorama ride with! It allows us to varify perfectly between a moderate cycling tour and a tour sporty MTB-tour.

Singletails: Sintra – Convento dos Capuchos – Santuario da Peninha – Guincho – Cascais

In Sintra we can start in about 200m over sea level. The climb to the crest is therefore only have as long as the dream of a single trail down to the Ocean.

Starting on the north-east side of the hill we climb to the top level still on asphalt before we warm up on some flat, but flowy single trails. After a second climb we reach Santuario da Peninha, and with that maybe the most impressive view from Serra de Sintra. The view reaches from Lisbon until Ericeira. Also the next highlight is in sight: the long and famous singletrail “Trilho dos Burros” from the peak of the hill with ocean view down to Praia Abano, the wild beaches on the west coast of Serra de Sintra.

The ups and downs at Serra de Sintra require some fitness and Trilho de Burros is partly quite steep, some mountainbike skills are required!
