Between Porto and Lisbon we find two very different journeys.

Leaving Porto on a flat route on scenic cycling lanes near the ocean. We pass by the coastal towns south of Porto, the lagoon and colourful holiday homes around “Portugal’s Venice” Aveiro and the endless beaches such as Praia de Mira. The northern part from Porto to Nazare is quite an easy route, doable for every cyclist. Starting with the world famous giant waives in Nazare, route and terrain is changing. The tour is getting more challanging. Landscape is getting more hilly and instead of cycling lanes, now we find side roads shared with traffic. This might be more challanging, but also more diverse: Stunning views from the hills along the coast, paved and unpaved routes along natural lagoons and wide wineyards, authentic coastal towns and historic highlights row up along the route now.
